Alcoholics Anonymous (A. A.) Meetings in Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village, California 

55 of the 59 meetings listed here are shown on modern maps as being in the city of Thousand Oaks, Ventura County; another 4 in the city of Westlake Village, Los Angeles County. The perspectives of residents, A. A. groups and listing bodies, as to whether given meetings are really in 'Thousand Oaks' or 'Westlake Village', by no means follow county lines or postal conventions. History is involved, and other elements ... the correcting of which seems in no way necessary to sobriety.

   The most practical solution, we believe, is to unite all the meetings on a single page, with those physically located (following the latest research) in Ventura County captioned as “Thousand Oaks”, and those in L. A. County as “Westlake Village”, for those who wish to know. The designations are intended to be useful only — certainly not definitive, controversial nor inflammatory.

    It is offered as a free service to anybody who can use it, and is unaffiliated with any official bodies – or with any organization at all, for that matter.
