You can find here Printable Lists and Printable Secretary Notes. We also list the Staten Island Al-Anon and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, as an (unofficial) service. Links to them are at the top of the page. Please send corrections, changes, anniversary notices, news, comments, questions and suggestions to the editors. Changes will be made at once, as well as listed below under Recent Changes, and in the online Secretary Notes, as appropriate. Meeting changes will also be listed on the Thursday page of the downloadable (printable) lists and Notes, as they occur. |
“Open” and “Closed” Meetings“Open” and “Open Discussion” meetings (marked “O” and “OD” in the printed lists) are for anyone with an interest in recovery from alcoholism. “Open” meetings (as used here) are “Speaker” meetings, usually with a leader and two or more speakers, but without participation from the floor. “Open Discussion” meetings do include general participation, and more closely resemble most closed meetings. Note Meetings not marked “O”, “OD”, “Open” or “Open Discussion” are closed — that is, attendance is limited to those who may themselves have “a desire to stop drinking”. |
'The Family Afterwards' Group (Friday evenings, SIUH South) changed the starting time of its meetings to 7 PM in April, 2009. The change is not yet permanent, however, as of May 3. [5/3]

The Great Kills I Group (Sat., 9 PM) has changed its name to the Courage to Change Group . [2/16/09]
The Came To Believe Group (Thurs., 7:45 PM) has changed to an Open Big Book Discussion format. [1/16/09]
Meeting At The Park (Sun., 7:30 PM) has returned to a closed format for all meetings. [11/5/08, 1/14/09]
The Rainbow & Friends Group (Thurs., 7 PM) has changed from Open Discussion to Closed Discussion in format. [9/17]
The S.L.I.P. (Sober Living In Progress) group (Wed., 7 PM), which was founded in 1961, has closed its doors, with the closing of the Salvation Army facility in which they had met. They last met September 10. [9/12]
The Friday night (10:30 PM) meeting at Bethel, which began last July, has been removed from our meeting lists, in part due to the actions of its leaders in stealing the secretary notes from our website, and posting them on their own recently created website, as their own work. For those interested in full details, please e-mail s.i.meetings@gmail.com. [6/27]
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women
who share their experience, strength and hope with each other
that they may solve their common problem
and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership
is a desire to stop drinking.
There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership;
we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination,
politics, organization or institution;
does not wish to engage in any controversy;
neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober
and to help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
